2018 Poster: Make My Type
‘Practice Makes Perfect’ means keep repeating something over and over in order to get better. No matter working in what field, it is always a very encouraging quote in my life. Practice can be everything and everything needs improvements. For example, studying is practice for our future. Even my study life is full of mistakes, the importance is to keep learning from it and practising, everything will go well soon.
However, how to keep going and never give up? The main things we need are patience and perseverance. This is the message that I want to show in this poster. In this poster, every letter in this quote is showed by built wooden sticks. All my characters of my chosen quote are cubes that I built. On this way, I definitely need patience to do so. Firstly, the word ‘PRACTICE’ is built in the simplest way which each cube is out of colours. This represents whenever we start working for a goal, the first step is recognizing some relevant knowledge and skills. We may not understand everything, but we need to try. Afterwards, we keep experimenting in order to know what we need to improve. Secondly, the word ‘MAKES’ becomes a bit different. Each character is built by cubes as well but adding one kind of colour only. Finally, the word ‘PERFECT’ is built in the same method as the word ‘MAKES’. The only difference is, it is colourful. On the other hand, the photographed background is the piano. Playing piano is one of the things that I always spend a lot of time for practising it and I really enjoy it a lot. This is one of the main things in my life that I can experience a strong feeling of practising.
Enjoying the process is very important as we are learning all the time.
